My first weekend away
Apples B&B, Big Bear, CA
Last weekend was the first time I had ever spent a night away from Sophia - and in this case it was two nights! I only cried twice; once right before I left her, and once that night at the B&B. She, on the other hand, is reported to have not even cried once, not even a questioning, "Mama?" Is this a good thing? Is it weird for me to want her to have just a little bit of separation anxiety?
My mother-in-law, my two sisters-in-law, my baby niece Emily, and I all drove out to Big Bear, which is about a 3 hour drive from L.A., and spent the entire weekend reminiscing, creating, eating (the food was so good!), and of course scrapbooking. What a pleasure it was to have 2 whole days to myself with some of my favorite people of all time.
Nevertheless, I was so, so happy to get to see Sophia when we finally picked her up. She was pretty darn happy, too.

You did it! I am so proud!! Funny about the separation anxiety; I feel the same way sometimes when I leave Kailyn at preschool. I know she missed you, but obviously trusts that you will always come back for her and truly loves the lucky one(s) that got to watch her! Can't wait to see you back in Valdez!
Amazing how they survive without us--when we barely can stand it! What a great time--thank you again for sharing your life and your beautiful Sophia with us! I love you!

It was hard but worth it...we're glad you made it, I loved sharing a room with you.
I'm ready to go again! What do you think about NEXT August???? :) I just started the baby Annie years album--6 pages done and I'm raring to go. Pulling out all the creative stops on this one--it is so fun to do GIRL pages for a change after three 45-page albums full of snakes and snails and puppy dog tails!
